(a) What fraction of the pokemon cards does Charles have?
(b) If they have 90 pokemon cards altogether, how many cards does Alex have?

(a) Charles -

3/9 = 1/3

Answer: The fraction of cards Charles has is 1/3.


(b) Alex had –

9 units ----- 90
1 unit ----- 90 divided by 9 = 10
4 units ----- 10 x 4 = 40

Answer: Alex has 40 pokemon cards.
