Find the value of each of the following expressions when y = 6.
a) 3y - 4
b) y + 2y/3
Solution
a)
3(6) - 4
= 18 - 4
= 14
Answer: 14
b)
(6) + 2(6)/3
= 6 + 4
= 10
Answer: 10
