Scarf cost $40, therefore blouse cost $40 + $20 = $60


(Blouse) is 1/9 of expenditure ----- $60

(Total expenditure) 9/9 ----- $60 x 9 = $540

Salary ----- $540 (total expenditure) + $200 saved = $740
